  • about the bobby pins , at my studio we take the bumpy side and bend it slightly so it's more rounded . I find that helps hold your hair better and leaves no awkward lines (:

  • I believe that you are never to old to start dancing. Also Sabra is absolutely amazing. She used to go to my old studio and she was ridiculously talented and total goofball. She worked so hard both dancing and teaching. She shows that time doesn't mean everything it's how much effort you put in.

  • Wearing flat bobby pins with the bumpy side on your head doesn't hurt at all. I can't even tell the difference!

Oh really I guess it doesn’t matter then! Whatever helps hold your hair the best :)

  • i've seen a lot of people asking if they are too old to start dancing - bear this in mind - Sabra Johnson started dancing only 4 years before she won So You Think You Can Dance, and she's amazing! If you love it, then do it! There is no such thing as "Too old to dance"!

Yeah I remember finding out about that when she won and I was blown away.. she’s so versatile too it’s just incredible! I completely agree, if you love it, do it!

  • Another story for people asking of they are to old: one of my teachers started ballet at 13, never having danced before then. By the time she was 15 she was a corps member at Boston Ballet. A few years later she became a soloist. In her life she has also come back from what should have been a career ending injury and, despite not know how to sing or dance any other styles, landing a lead in a broadway show. She just proves that it's never to late if you put your mind to something :)

  • So we were having this argument at the studio the other day. Flat bobby pins, does the bumpy side go on the top or bottom. it would be on the top because thats how it comes in the packet and then the part that makes it more open would dig into your head. But if the flat side was on the top then it wouldn't have funny lines on your head. What do you think?
    Anonymous

Hmm well I always put the flat side laying against my head with bumpy on top, I never really even thought to do it the other way. It seems kinda uncomfortable though I’d rather have funny hair lines than something digging into my head all class
